Allied has recently completed the Freemont Adventure Challenge to raise money for Kidney Research UK. A team comprising James Brierley, Stanford Messam, Arran Jones, & Matthew Bracken completed the event and raised nearly a £1,000 for the charity. A great time was had by all and Allied are proud to support Freemont in this excellent cause.

Allied has recently been successfully audited to the Achilles BuildingConfidence Accreditation Scheme which is used by major contractors such as Bovis Lendlease and Shepherd Construction.

Work @ Height Regulations
As company procedure Allied uses the ASP Step-Up Device which allows us to work to a safe system designed to provide the scaffolder with collective fall protection. This means that the scaffolder can erect and dismantle the scaffold safely while being protected by a guardrail which itself becomes part of the finished scaffold structure. The Step-Up Device is usually used in pairs with two employees working together, particularly on longer facades.

IMS (INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)
Allied have been re-accredited to the 3 highly sought standards of ISO:9001, ISO:14001, and OHSAS:18001 for Quality, Environment and Safety. Having an integrated approach ensures these standards are embedded in the culture of the business as 1 management system and not disparate standards that act against the flow of the day to day business activities. For a copy of the IMS manual please contact Andy Gaynor, our IMS Manager.
